One of the great things about writing is that you control the world you are writing about. It quite often happens that I am working on a chapter, following the outline I have made, when one of the characters almost comes to life, and does something quite different to what I had anticipated. Usually the results are quite good and take that character in a whole new direction. If I had software that enabled me to simply plug in characters and plot, everyone else could use that same software, and books would become replicas of each other, only varying the names of the characters from one author to another. If you're looking for an easy job, writing books is not it. It is hard, demanding, frustrating, exasperating, and wonderful. They are who I deal with. They have special programs that they use and they will down load them to your computer so you can put your book together or you can have them put the book together for you. I write poetry and the occassional book. Email me and I will get those addresses, phone numbers and web sites. I worked too hard to get these publishers to just put them out there.
